your AB487 requirement for relicensure in 2006:
In 1999, to improve the practice of pain management and palliative
care in California and minimize the risk of under-management of
pain and other symptoms, eg, the Berman Case, the . This precedent
setting bill requires all practicing physicians to complete 12
hours of continuing medical education in pain management and palliative
care in order to renew their license in 2006 (except radiologists
and pathologists).
